Artist's Comments

The Ride is the creation of 12 Gauge Comics (published through Image) and is a series of stories whose common thread is a particular black and white 68 Camaro convertible.

This is one of my final assigments for my Drawing for Sequential Art class. The specs were to include the car, 2 characters of my own design, and a Savannah setting. The prof said it didn't have to "scream Savannah," but I decided to go for broke...

Also, ~sairobi: the parking meter says "expired"... so I totally stole that concept from you :) It's awfully Savannah-appropriate.

And yeah, yeah, that's my truck.

That camaro did just what I saw a truck do to a mailbox on Saturday.

Too bad you don't see more chicks dressed like that walking around Savannah. Well, maybe it is a good thing. They'd probably get raped.

And actually I meant it sort of *does* scream Savannah (Georgia), at least for those of us who live here... the big live oak tree with spanish moss, the parking meter, Lucas Theater, palm trees, pickup truck with dog in the back... :)

They had an anti handgun billboard campain they were running about a year ago, promoting jail time.

Very nice piece...Love the attitude. I hope you got an "A"...I love the tree...Spanish moss hanging from it really gives an undeniably "back east" flavor.
